Aspiring senatorial candidate Daniel Magtira listed "Kris Aquino" as his wife in his certificate of candidacy. Although in an interview, he clarified that he is still courting Aquino, who he said will help him reach his ultimate goal: to be a recording artist.

Magtira, who also claims to be a rock star, said he has joined several talent shows but always failed to get in.
On her talk show "KrisTV" on Wednesday, Aquino discussed Magtira's claims.
"Nagulat talaga ako. Baliw talaga siya," she said.
Aquino stressed that she is not yet free to re-marry since she still doesn't have the certificate from from the National Statistics Office (NSO) which states that she's single again.
Aquino's marriage to basketball player James Yap was annulled by the court last February.
Aquino even joked that perhaps her brother, President Benigno Aquino III, ordered to NSO not to give her the certificate so she could not marry again.
"I have my annulment and I feel ayaw ibigay siguro sinabi ni PNoy huwag niyo ibigay para huwag na ikasal ulit," she said.
"Pero totoo, wala pa talaga 'yon. Kasi mayroon pa kaming tatlong property ni James, dalawa doon sa kanya, isa sa akin. At mayroon pa kasi akong kailangang i-settle... so hindi pa," she said.
